MindBodyWarrior (the “App”) is an astrology and wellness mobile application available on iOS and Android. It is operated by 2355642 Ontario Inc. (referred to as “MindBodyWarrior,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from users, how we use and share it, and the rights you have under United States and Canadian law. By using MindBodyWarrior, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or related services. We may update this policy from time to time, and will post any changes on our website (https://mindbodywarrior.com/privacy-policy). We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates.

Information We Collect

We collect various types of information to provide and improve our services. This includes:

      Personal Information You Provide: When you create an account or use MindBodyWarrior, you may provide certain details:

      Account Registration: Your name, email address, and a password (if signing up via email). If you create an account through third-party logins (Facebook, Google, or Apple), we receive information such as your name and email from those providers.

      Profile Details: Date of birth, birth time, and birth location are collected to create personalized astrology readings. We may also collect other wellness-related information you choose to provide (for example, dietary preferences or goals) to tailor coaching, meditations, and meal plans.

      Subscriptions and Purchases: If you subscribe to our digital services (monthly or yearly subscriptions), the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your full payment card details; we only receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status. For physical product orders made through our in-app wellness store (powered by Shopify), you will provide shipping and payment information at checkout. All payments are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD). We receive necessary details about your order (such as the products ordered, your name, shipping address, and contact info) to fulfill it, but we do not store your credit card information (payment processing is handled securely by Shopify or the relevant payment provider).

      Customer Support and Communications: If you contact us for support or submit feedback, we collect your name, contact information, and the content of your communication. This includes emails or any messages you send to us within the App.

      Interactive Content: The App may offer interactive features like leaderboards, community challenges, or forums. If you choose to participate, any content you submit (such as a public post, profile photo, username, or scores on a leaderboard) will be collected. Note that this information may be visible to other users in the App. Participation is voluntary, so you can choose how much you share.

      AI Coach Conversations: MindBodyWarrior includes AI-powered chat features for coaching and motivation. If you use the AI chat or coach, the questions, goals, or other inputs you provide in the chat are collected so that we can generate personalized responses and improve our AI services. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal details in these chats. These AI interactions are used only to assist you and are not shared for any other purpose.

      Information Collected Automatically: When you use MindBodyWarrior (especially the mobile app), we automatically collect some information about your device and usage:

      Device and Usage Data: We gather data about the device you use and how you interact with the App. This may include your device type/model (e.g. iPhone or Android phone, operating system version), unique device identifiers, the version of our App, and performance data. We also collect usage information such as the features you use, content you view or engage with (for example, which meditations or workouts you complete), and the dates/times of your activities in the App.

      Log and Connectivity Information: When you connect to our services, our servers automatically record certain data such as your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, the type of network connection (e.g. Wi-Fi or mobile), and error/crash reports if the App crashes or encounters an error (these reports help us debug issues).

      Approximate Location: We do not track your real-time GPS location. However, we may infer general location information automatically from your IP address (which can map to a city or region) to tailor content (for example, showing relevant wellness content for your region or adjusting horoscope time zones). This is not precise location tracking, and it’s primarily used to ensure content relevance.

      Cookies and Similar Technologies: If you visit our website or the integrated wellness store, we (or our third-party service providers like Shopify) may use “cookies” or similar technologies. Cookies are small data files stored on your browser or device. They help the site function (for example, remembering your shopping cart or login session). MindBodyWarrior does not use any cookies for advertising purposes or third-party analytics on our site. We only use essential cookies necessary for security, account login, and the e-commerce functionality of the store. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of our site (like the store checkout) may not work properly if cookies are disabled. (Note: The mobile app itself generally does not use cookies, but similar concepts like local storage may be used to remember your preferences or login state on the device.)

Account Creation and Login Options

You have multiple options to create an account and log into MindBodyWarrior:

      Email Sign-Up: You can register with your email address and a password. We will use your email to verify your account and send necessary communications (like password resets or important account notices).

      Social Logins (Facebook, Google, Apple): For your convenience, MindBodyWarrior allows login via Facebook, Google, or Apple accounts. If you choose one of these options, the third-party service will authenticate you and may share certain information with us (specifically your name and email address, and a unique ID token to verify who you are). We use this information only to create and manage your MindBodyWarrior account. We do not receive your passwords or any other information from your social profiles beyond your basic identifier info (we won’t post anything to your social media, and we won’t retrieve data like your friend lists). Using social login is entirely up to you; you can always choose our email sign-up instead. If at any time you want to disconnect a social login from your MindBodyWarrior account, please contact support for assistance. Also, remember that your use of third-party login options is subject to those providers’ privacy policies (e.g., Facebook’s Data Policy, Google’s Privacy Policy, or Apple’s Privacy Policy), which we encourage you to review.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to operate, improve, and personalize the MindBodyWarrior experience. Our primary purposes for using your information are:

      Providing and Personalizing Services: We use your personal data to deliver the content and features you expect from MindBodyWarrior. For example, your birth date, time, and location are used to generate customized astrology readings and daily horoscopes tailored to you. Your wellness preferences and profile info help us serve you relevant coaching tips, meditation sessions, workout plans, and meal suggestions. The AI coach uses your inputs to give you personalized motivational messages or guidance. In short, this information allows us to personalize your experience and make the content meaningful for you.

      Account Management: We use your information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you when you log in, and remember your settings and preferences. For instance, we’ll use your login credentials to let you access your profile, and if you saved preferences (like notification settings or favorite content), we recall those for your convenience.

      Subscriptions and Order Fulfillment: If you purchase a subscription or order products, we use the relevant details to enable and manage those transactions. For subscriptions, we record that you have a valid subscription and for how long, so that you receive the premium digital content or features you paid for. For physical product purchases from our wellness store, we use your provided information to fulfill your order – for example, processing your payment (through our payment partners), confirming the order, shipping the product to your address, and contacting you about the delivery if needed.

      Communication: We may use your contact information (email or in-app notifications) to send you important notices about the service. This includes things like confirming your account or purchase, notifying you of changes to our terms or this Privacy Policy, security or fraud alerts, or important updates about the App (for example, if we introduce a new feature that affects your data). We do not spam you with unnecessary marketing. We might occasionally send tips, updates, or wellness content to your email if you have opted in to such communications, but you can opt out at any time (see “Your Choices” below). Transactional messages (like receipts or account alerts) will be sent as needed, as these are part of our service to you.

      Improving and Developing the App: We internally analyze how users interact with MindBodyWarrior to improve our offerings. For example, usage data (like which features are most popular or where users encounter issues) helps us identify what is working and what can be better. We may use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand trends or user needs. This could lead to new features, content adjustments, or performance improvements. In some cases, we might use AI chat interactions in an aggregated way to train or refine our coaching algorithms – but this would be done without identifying specific users. Overall, your information is crucial for us to continuously enhance user experience and fix problems (for instance, analyzing a crash log to solve an app stability issue).

      Safety, Security, and Fraud Prevention: We are dedicated to keeping MindBodyWarrior a safe space. We may monitor certain activities to prevent misuse of the app. For example, we keep an eye out for suspicious login patterns that might indicate fraud or hacking attempts. If you engage in the interactive community features, we may review content if it’s reported to ensure it doesn’t violate our guidelines (such as removing content that is inappropriate or offensive). We also use information to enforce our terms of service and to protect the rights and safety of our users, our company, and others.

      Legal Compliance: When necessary, we will use and disclose information to comply with our legal obligations. This might include retaining transaction records for financial regulations or using your data to respond to lawful requests from authorities (more details in “How We Share Information” below). Using your data in these ways helps ensure we are operating within the requirements of applicable laws.

We want to emphasize that we do not use your personal information for any kind of targeted advertising. Our goal in collecting and using data is solely to provide a great user experience and improve our services – not to profile you for ads.

How We Share Your Information

MindBodyWarrior respects your privacy. We only share personal information in a few specific situations, outlined below. We do not sell your personal data to anyone. When we do share data, we limit it to the minimum necessary and always for the purposes described in this policy:

      Service Providers and Partners: We share information with trusted third-party companies who perform services on our behalf to help us run MindBodyWarrior. These service providers are bound by confidentiality and only use your data as instructed by us (not for their own purposes). Key examples include:

      Payment Processors: For subscription purchases through the App Stores, your payment is handled by Apple or Google, who process the transaction and confirm to us that you’ve paid. For our Shopify-powered store, Shopify and its payment partners process your payment and may verify your billing details. In all cases, these processors handle sensitive financial data; we receive only limited information (like that a payment was successful, the type of subscription, or the items purchased) so we can activate your service or fulfill your order.

      Order Fulfillment and Shipping: If you buy physical products, we may share your necessary details (like your name and shipping address) with the fulfillment partners or carriers (e.g., postal or courier services) that deliver the product to you. They will use this information solely to ship your order.

      Cloud Storage and Infrastructure: MindBodyWarrior may use reputable cloud hosting providers (for example, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud) to store data and host our application. Your personal information could be stored on their secure servers, but they cannot use it except to provide storage and computing services for us.

      Email and Communication Tools: If we send emails or push notifications, we might use third-party platforms to do so (for instance, an email service like SendGrid or Mailchimp to send newsletters or confirmations). These providers get your email address and the content of the message, but are not allowed to use that info for anything outside of sending our communications.

      Analytics (Internal): We do not use external analytics platforms, but if we ever employ tools for internal analytics or error tracking (like a crash reporting SDK), those tools may incidentally collect some device or app performance data to help us troubleshoot issues. We will ensure any such tool is configured not to use your data for any purpose other than providing service to us.

      Shopify and E-Commerce: Our wellness store runs on Shopify’s platform. When you enter information to make a purchase (like your name, address, and credit card info), that data is handled by Shopify and subject to Shopify’s own privacy policy. Shopify will share with us the details we need to process and fulfill your order (e.g., product ordered, your contact and shipping info), but sensitive payment information (such as your credit card number) is not visible to us. We encourage you to review Shopify’s Privacy Policy for more details on their practices. If you use other third-party services through our App (for example, if we link to a partner wellness service or a social media platform for sharing content), those services may collect data under their own policies – we will let you know within the App when a link or feature will send you to a third-party service. We recommend reviewing the privacy practices of any third-party services you access.

      Community and Social Sharing: If MindBodyWarrior includes social features (such as a public forum, friend connections, or leaderboards), some of your information may be shared with other users, but only as much as you choose to share. For example, if there is a leaderboard for a meditation streak or fitness challenge, and you opt to participate, other participants might see your display name, profile photo (if you added one), and your score or rank. Similarly, if you post content or comments in a community section, those posts, along with your name or username, will be visible to others in the app. Remember that any information you voluntarily share in these public or semi-public areas can be seen, collected, or used by others who read them, so please do so with care. We do provide in-app controls (where applicable) to manage what is shared (for instance, the ability to use a nickname or to make your profile private if such features exist).

      Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose your information when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:

      Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. For example, if a court order or subpoena demands certain user information, we may be legally required to provide it. We will verify that the request is legitimate and only disclose the minimum data necessary.

      Enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, or investigate potential violations thereof. If someone is violating rules or misusing our App (for instance, engaging in fraud, harassment, or a security breach), we may need to use and share data to address the issue.

      Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues. This can involve sharing data with security consultants or law enforcement (e.g., providing log data to investigators if we detect attacks on our systems).

      Protect the rights, property, or safety of MindBodyWarrior, our users, or the public, as required or permitted by law. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of cyber security protection or credit risk reduction (though we currently don’t deal with credit reporting, this is a common example).

      Business Transfers: If MindBodyWarrior or 2355642 Ontario Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. For example, if another company acquires us or our assets, personal data held by MindBodyWarrior could be one of the assets transferred to the acquirer so they can continue providing the service to you. If such a transfer happens, we will ensure that your information remains protected by this Privacy Policy (unless you’re notified of changes) and/or require that the new entity continue to honor the privacy commitments we have made. You will be notified via the App or email (if possible) of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information in that event.

      With Your Consent: In any cases not covered above, if we need to share your information for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent. For instance, if we ever wanted to partner with another company to offer a combined service or promotion that requires sharing some of your info, we would only do so with your knowledge and approval. You are in control of whether we share your personal data in ways not described in this policy.

No Selling of Personal Data: We want to reiterate that we do not sell your personal information to third parties for profit or for their independent use. “Selling” generally means sharing personal info with third parties in exchange for money or other benefits. MindBodyWarrior’s business is providing wellness and astrology services to you, not selling your data. Also, we do not share your information with third-party advertisers or data brokers. You will not suddenly get ads from other companies because of giving data to MindBodyWarrior. Your data stays with us and our service providers used for running the App, as explained above.

No Third-Party Ads or Analytics

MindBodyWarrior is proud to be an ad-free experience. We do not use third-party advertising networks or serve third-party ads within our App. This means we are not collecting your data to profile you for ads, and you won’t see banner ads or targeted advertising in MindBodyWarrior. Likewise, we do not use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Analytics) that track your behavior across apps or websites. Any analytics performed is done in-house for the sole purpose of improving our service to you, and it is done in a privacy-conscious manner. We also do not use tracking SDKs or cookies for advertising purposes. By relying on subscriptions and product sales for revenue (instead of ads), we avoid sharing your information with advertisers or data brokers. In summary: your data is used only to support your experience and our App’s functionality, and not for advertising or sale.

Your Rights and Choices

You have rights regarding your personal information and we want to empower you to make choices about your data. These rights may vary based on whether you are a user in the United States or Canada, but we aim to uphold strong privacy standards for all users. Below, we outline the key rights and choices you have, and how you can exercise them:

      Access and Update Your Information: You can access and correct much of your personal profile information directly in the App. For example, you can edit your profile details (such as your name, email, or birth data) by going to the account settings section. We encourage you to keep your information up-to-date. If any information we have is inaccurate, please correct it in the App or contact us so we can update it.

      Account Deletion (Right to Erasure): You have the right to request deletion of your account and the personal data we have about you. If you decide you no longer want to use MindBodyWarrior, you can request account deletion through the App (if that feature is available, e.g. a “Delete Account” button in settings) or by contacting us at our support email. Upon verification of your request, we will deactivate and delete your account information. Please note, in some cases we may retain certain information after deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes – for example, we might keep a record of a purchase you made for our financial records or to comply with tax regulations, or we may retain information to exercise or defend legal claims. However, such data will only be kept for the period necessary and handled securely. Once your deletion request is processed, your personal data will be removed from our active databases and will no longer be accessible in the App.

      Opt-Out of Marketing Communications: If you have subscribed to any optional communications (like a wellness newsletter or occasional promotional updates), you can opt out at any time. Each marketing email we send will include an “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom – clicking that will stop further marketing emails. You can also opt out by adjusting your account preferences if available, or by contacting us. Keep in mind that even if you opt out of marketing messages, we will still send you essential transactional or service-related communications (for example, we might still send an email to confirm a purchase or to alert you to an important change in the service or this policy).

      Push Notifications and Device Permissions: The mobile app may ask for certain device permissions – for example, permission to send you push notifications for daily quotes or new meditation releases, or permission to access your device’s camera if you add a profile picture. You have the choice to grant or deny these permissions. If you grant them and later change your mind, you can always adjust your device settings (in your phone’s Settings menu) to revoke notification permission or other access. Disabling push notifications will mean you might miss real-time updates, but you can still see content when you open the App.

Privacy Rights Under U.S. and Canadian Law: We strive to comply with the privacy laws applicable in the regions we operate. Here is additional information for users in the United States (particularly California) and Canada regarding their privacy rights:

      California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA): If you are a resident of California, you are entitled under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), to certain rights with regard to your personal information. These include:

      Right to Know: You can request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of information, the sources of that information, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. In most cases, this Privacy Policy describes that information. If you require further details specific to your personal data, you can contact us to request it.

      Right to Access: You can request a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months. When you make such a request, we will need to verify your identity (for your security) before providing the information.

      Right to Delete: As noted above, you can ask us to delete the personal information we have collected from you (with certain exceptions as required by law). We will honor deletion requests and erase your data from our records and direct our service providers to do the same, unless a legal exception applies.

      Right to Correct: If any of your personal information we maintain is inaccurate, you have the right to request we correct it. We provide ways for you to edit your info directly, but you can also contact us for assistance in correcting data.

      Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: MindBodyWarrior does not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Therefore, while California residents have the right to direct a business that does sell or share data to stop doing so (a “Do Not Sell or Share” request), in our case it’s not applicable – since we don’t sell or share your data in that manner, we treat your data as opted-out by default.

      Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. This means, for example, we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser quality of service just because you exercised your privacy rights. (However, do note that if you request deletion of certain necessary data, it may affect our ability to provide the service – for instance, if you delete your account data entirely, you will no longer be able to use the App, but that’s a natural consequence of deletion, not discrimination.)

To exercise any of your California privacy rights, you (or your authorized representative) can reach out to us via the contact information provided in the “Contact Us” section below. Please specify which right you wish to exercise and provide us with enough information to verify your identity (we may ask for additional details to ensure we are fulfilling the request for the correct person). We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframe required by law (generally within 45 days, with an extension if needed and communicated).

      Canadian Privacy Rights: Users in Canada are protected by federal and provincial privacy laws (such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, PIPEDA). We aim to uphold the principles of these laws. In general, Canadian users have the right to:

      Access and Accuracy: You can request information about the existence, use, and disclosure of your personal information held by us, and you have the right to access that information. You also have the right to request corrections if any of your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete. As noted earlier, a lot of this can be done through the app or by contacting us for assistance.       Withdrawal of Consent: Where you have given consent for us to collect, use, or disclose your personal information, you have the right to withdraw that consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. For example, you can withdraw consent for marketing emails (by unsubscribing) or you can choose not to provide certain optional information. If you withdraw consent for something essential (like the data needed to provide the core service), we will inform you if that withdrawal means we can’t provide you certain features or must deactivate your account. Importantly, even if you withdraw consent for us processing your data, we may still retain some information as required by law or for legitimate purposes (similar to the deletion exceptions discussed above).

      Inquiries or Complaints: If you have questions about our privacy practices or if you believe your privacy rights under Canadian law have not been respected, you have the right to reach out to us and we will do our best to address your concern. Additionally, you have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (or your provincial Privacy Commissioner, if applicable, such as in Quebec, British Columbia, or Alberta) to file a complaint. We hope to resolve any issues directly, but it is your right to seek assistance from these authorities.

We will not require you to create an account just to exercise your rights (though you will need to provide sufficient information for us to locate your data and verify your identity). Requests that are repetitive, frivolous, or harassing may be denied as allowed by law, but we will always communicate the reason.

Your Choices: In summary, you are in control of your personal information. You can choose what information to provide (optional fields vs. required), you can update or remove it, you can opt in or out of certain uses, and you can contact us anytime with questions about your privacy. We appreciate that trust is essential, and we want you to feel comfortable and informed when using MindBodyWarrior.

Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously and maintain safeguards to protect it. Here’s what you should know about how and where your data is stored, and the measures we take to keep it secure:

      Data Storage Locations: The information we collect from you may be stored and processed on servers. We choose reputable data hosting providers with strong security practices. By using the App, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to and stored in a different country than your residence. Regardless of where the data is located, we will ensure it is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Please note that data stored in a particular country may be subject to lawful access requests by governments or courts in that jurisdiction.

Despite all our efforts, it’s important to note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Cyber threats evolve rapidly, and there is always some risk that a breach could occur. If we discover a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law, and we will take all reasonable steps to mitigate the issue and prevent future occurrences.

As a user, you also play a role in keeping your data safe. Please use a strong, unique password for your MindBodyWarrior account and do not share it. If you suspect any unauthorized access to your account or notice any unusual activity, contact us immediately.

Children’s Privacy

MindBodyWarrior is a general-audience app and does not impose a strict age restriction for users; we believe people of many ages can benefit from wellness and motivational content. However, we recognize the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in the United States and Canada:

      No Users Under 13 (U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection): We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. The App and its content are not directed toward young children. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or submit personal information through the App without a parent or guardian’s permission. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Parents who believe their child may have provided us information can contact us, and we will promptly remove the data.

      Minors and Purchases: If you are under the age of majority in your state or province (for example, under 18 in most U.S. states, or under 18/19 in Canada depending on the province), please use MindBodyWarrior with the involvement of a parent or guardian, especially when it comes to financial transactions. While the App’s content (like horoscopes or meditations) may be suitable for teenagers, purchasing a subscription or product is a contractual action that usually requires adult consent. We abide by all local laws regarding minimum age requirements for purchases. In practice, this means if you’re a minor, you should obtain permission from a parent or guardian before subscribing to paid services or ordering products. We reserve the right to cancel transactions or disable accounts if we discover that proper consent was not obtained.

      Parental Guidance: We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their children’s online activities. If a minor (aged 13 or older but under majority age) is using MindBodyWarrior, parents should review this Privacy Policy and discuss it with them so they understand their rights and our practices. We try to make our content positive and safe for all ages, but parental guidance is always helpful to ensure a healthy experience.

In summary, while we welcome users who can benefit from our services, we prioritize compliance with youth privacy regulations. No specific age cutoff is enforced for using free content in the App, but we treat users under 13 in the U.S. as described above, and we require legal adult involvement for any purchase obligations. Informational Purposes Only: The content provided by MindBodyWarrior – including astrology readings, horoscope interpretations, wellness tips, AI coaching conversations, meditations, and meal or fitness suggestions – is intended for informational and entertainment purposes. While we aim to offer helpful guidance and motivation, we are not providing professional advice (such as medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice). For important personal decisions regarding health, wellness, or any other aspect of your life, you should consider consulting a qualified professional. For example, our meal plans are general suggestions and may not account for personal allergies or medical conditions; always exercise judgment and, if needed, consult a nutritionist or doctor before making significant dietary changes.

No Guarantees of Accuracy or Results: Astrology and wellness advice can be subjective. We strive for accuracy and usefulness, but we do not guarantee that the information or results you get through MindBodyWarrior will be 100% accurate, reliable, or tailored to every situation. Outcomes may vary from person to person. You are responsible for how you interpret and apply the content we provide. The AI coach’s responses, for instance, are generated to be encouraging and insightful, but the AI is not infallible and its advice may not suit every individual context. Please use your own discretion and common sense when following any guidance from the App.
